Delete your RootSwap account

You can delete your RootSwap account at any time, in the app or by email. Here is how, and what happens to your data.
In the app
- Open the RootSwap app, or https://app.rootswap.gr in your browser, and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings (the gear, top right) → Delete account, at the bottom.
- Confirm, and enter your password if you signed up with your email.
By email
Can’t use the app? Email info@rootswap.gr from the address you use with RootSwap, so we know the account is yours, and ask us to delete it. We’ll reply once it’s done, within a month at most.
What we delete straight away
- Your account and profile: your email address, name, profile photo and settings.
- Your listings and all your photos.
- Your saved plants and the members you block.
- The messages you sent. In other members’ chats, you show as “RootSwap member”.
- The reviews you wrote and those about you.
- The codes that let your devices receive notifications.
What we keep, and for how long
- Reports, yours and those about you, stay until a moderator has reviewed them, and are deleted twelve months after they were closed.
- A photo the automatic check set aside, where only moderators can see it, is deleted six months after the check.
- Other members keep the messages they sent you.
Keep a copy first
Deleting your account can’t be undone. To keep what RootSwap has about you, download it first, as one file, from Settings → Download your data.
