RootSwap keeps them growing, one new home at a time. ## From windowsill to new home in minutes 1. **Snap and list**: Add a few photos, pick sell, give away or swap, and add the care details. We compress your photos and strip their location data before upload. 2. **Chat and agree**: Message in real time, send a price offer or propose a swap. RootSwap is built to keep that easy and safe. - **Your address stays private**: Listings show an approximate area, never your exact location, and distances are rounded. - **Photos without the metadata**: GPS and camera data are stripped from every photo before it leaves your phone. - **Report and block**: Report a listing that breaks the rules, or block a member you'd rather not hear from. ## Questions, answered ### Is RootSwap free? Yes. Joining, browsing, listing and messaging are all free. ### Where can I use it? RootSwap works in your browser today. Native apps for iPhone and Android are on the way. ### What can I list? Plants, cuttings, seeds and pots, from common houseplants to rare finds. Each listing is for sale, free, or up for swap. For now you can keep up to 10 plant listings, 10 seed listings and 5 garden supplies listings, such as pots, open (available or reserved) at a time. ### Can other members see where I live? No. We only store and show an approximate area, so people can see roughly how far away a plant is without knowing your address. ### What does “Trusted member” mean? It’s a badge RootSwap gives on its own to members who have confirmed their email, joined at least 30 days ago, completed at least 5 deals, with at least 3 different members, that they talked over in RootSwap chats, and have no open reports about them. When you mark a listing sold, swapped or given away, you say who it went to, and the deal counts for you both. It isn’t an identity check, so meet somewhere public and see the plant before you pay. ### Can I sell as a nursery or plant shop? Soon.
